“Services by Airbus” expanding in Latin America

Farnborough Air Show 2016 was another fruitful event for Airbus with 279 aircraft sold. The iconic air show reaffirmed Airbus’ market-leading position, especially in Latin America, where the company surpassed 1,000 aircraft sold. It also put the Latin American Services market in the spotlight thanks to maintenance and training services agreements signed with Azul Linhas Aereas.

“Services by Airbus” will provide Azul with Airbus Flight Hour Services (FHS) components to support their daily fleet operations. As part of this agreement and to ensure the best service level for AZUL's daily fleet operation, Airbus will open a brand new pool in Brazil, the first one in Latin America, at the Viracopos International Airport in Campinas. More details here.

“Training by Airbus” was also selected by Azul and will provide A320 Family courses and the installation of a full-flight A320 simulator in Azul’s Training Center, UniAzul, the largest training center in Latin America. Based near Viracopos International Airport in Campinas, it will become the first Airbus Approved Training Organisation (ATO) in all of South America. More details here.

The recently launched “Services by Airbus” suite will offer a complete portfolio of end-to-end lifecycle services including:

- “Maintenance & Engineering” (M&E), which continuously supports customers’ operations to ensure the maximum availability of the aircraft and provides a wide range of services on M&E and Material Management to operators, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) centres worldwide and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEMs);

- “Upgrade services” provides a wide range of modifications to enhance and optimize the aircraft, such as cabin upgrades, and system and airframe upgrades;

- “Training” provides training solutions to ensure safe, reliable and economic operations of the aircraft through its lifecycle.

- “Flight operations and Air Traffic Management”, freshly renamed NAVBLUE at Farnborough, the wholly owned Airbus subsidiary provides reliable, accurate and efficient flight operations solutions.

With an increasing number of Airbus aircraft in service in Latin America and the Caribbean, “Services by Airbus” will continue to offer tailored solutions to its customers to further optimize costs and operational efficiency. More details here.
